Duneland Masters

The Duneland Masters are coached by Lisa Whitaker and the group works out at the Chesterton Middle School located off of Porter Avenue in Chesterton. Work out times are 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday including holidays. Four lanes are designated for specific workouts and two lanes for lap swimming. EARLHAM AQUATIC MASTERS

Franklin Masters Swim Club (FM)
Franklin, IN
The Franklin Masters Swim Club has approximately 25 team members who believe in their philosophy: Swim for Fun, Swim for Fitness, Swim for Life! They practice at the Franklin Community High School Poor during the winter and also at the Franklin Memorial Pool in the summer months. During the school year, practice times and days vary, but Monday/Wednesday, Saturday practices are for sure! The team is coached at most practices by Jill Lazzell. There is a monthly fee of $20. Franklin Parks and Rec provides zoomers, kickboards,etc. There are three Total Immersion technique type stroke clinics per year. Most members are triathletes or swim for fitness. The highlight is the annual pitch-in held at last practice in December. Swimmers must be registered with United States Masters Swimming. Tri athletes and fitness swimmers are welcome. Swimming in meets is not required but is encouraged since competition provides added motivation in practice, feedback on your progress and time to socialize with your teammates. Meets help make all those laps worthwhile!!!

GReater INdiana (GRIN)
State of Indiana
GRIN is not only the name of the LMSC, but it is also one of the registered clubs. Swimmers who join the GRIN club can swim for their local workout group within the GRIN LMSC boundary, but outside the GRIN LMSC boundary swimmers swim for the GRIN Club. The GRIN LMSC officers provide guidance for those swimmers who join the GRIN registered club. Local workout groups may have their own fees to cover expenses. Irish Aquatic Masters
South Bend, IN
Irish Aquatics Masters was formed in the spring of 2002 as a result of three USA Clubs: Michiana Marlins, Racer X , and South Bend Dolphins combining in the fall of 2001. We are a full service Masters swim team which has the beginning recreational lap swimmer as well as the highly competitive tri-athlete swimmer and everything in between. We have written workouts and a coach at every practice and work out at Rolf's Aquatics Center at Notre Dame. Fees are $40 per semester. We also require people to have a current USMS registration. IU Masters Swim Club (DOC)
Bloomington, IN
There is no known logo or motto, but the number of registered DOC swimmers is around 45. Workout times: from October 1 until Memorial Day – 11 AM until noon on weekdays and noon to 1:30 PM on weekends at Royer Pool, located on the Bloomington campus in the HPER building. There is no visitor fee for a one time visit, but three dollars will be charged if you come for an entire week. Memorial Day until September 30, the group practices at the IU Outdoor Pool at 17th and Fee Lane. They swim during regular public lap swimming times in lanes marked “Interval Training.” Swimmers must pay the regular pool charge but the pool does offer daily and weekly rates) with the daily rate approximately three per day. The rates in September are different though the times are the same, but the Masters rent the pool since it is closed to the public. There is not a coach on deck, although the swimmers usually follow a structured workout. Maple City Masters

The Maple City Masters are a work out group who have swimmers who work out mainly for health. Some members compete, but most don’t. The group works out at Goshen Middle School, 1216 South Indiana Avenue, Goshen, IN. The school phone number is 574-533-0391. Peggy Shoup at 574-875-5766 (email: shoup@goshenschools.org) provides coaching and help with strokes at Masters practices from 5 AM (but has been known to be a little earlier) to 6 AM. There are lanes for lap swimming. There is a $1.00 (one dollar) fee!

Noblesville Adult Swim Team, Inc. (NASTI)
Noblesville, IN
The NASTI´s motto is: Stay in shape, have fun in workouts, competition and other group activities. They practice at the Noblesville High School Natatorium from September through May, and at the Forest Park Aquatic Center from June through August. Doug Church is the “quasi-coach” who can be reached at 317-773-2190 or at dchurch@cchalaw.com. Structured workouts include some stroke and individual coaching, though Doug is in the water. There is no room for lap swimmers, but somehow people who show up for lap swimming end up liking the workouts better! Swimmers must be a member of GRIN/USMS. Swimmers must show up to learn about the famous NASTI “Rule One!”

The Sugar Creek Masters swimming club offers fitness and competition swimmers of all levels a great opportunity to have fun and improve their swimming skills. The club meets for coached practices on Monday and Wednesday, 5:30-7:00 pm, and Saturdays 8:00-10:00 am at the Crawfordsville Aquatic Center. Jordan Hatch is our coach. Summit Masters Aquatic Club (SMAC)

YMCA Indy SwimFit (ISF)

The YMCA Indy SwimFit is the largest club in the GReater INdiana LMSC with approximately 350 members. Their motto is: An adult aquatics fitness program for triathletes, competitive, and fitness swimmers. Location of workouts are spread across the Greater Indianapolis Metropolitan Area: the Jordan YMCA, the IU Natatorium, The Benjamin Harrison YMCA, the Indiana School for the Blind, the Fishers YMCA and the Ben Davis High School Aquatic Center. Practices are coached at each location by one of the following: Mel Goldsterin, George Quigley, Kris Houchesn, Annie Schneiders, Todd Dawkins, Jeremy Houchens, Melissa Ruble, Sally Hasbrook, Rick Weise, Lisa Picek, Holly Day or Susie Shuck. There is no lap swimming allowed in workout lanes. YMCA members pay $21.00 per month and Non-Y members pay $39.00 a month. (Non-Y members only have access to Y pools during specified workout times.)
