Got First-Time Meet Jitters? Relax and Jump Right In!
For those swimmers who have decided to use the Michiana Masters Invitational on March 5 or the GRIN State Championships on March 18-19 as your first foray into the world of competitive Masters swimming, Congratulations! For those of you who have not yet signed up ... what are you waiting for? We all know that swimming is a great way to get/stay fit, and a meet is a perfect way to either gauge some of your progress or to set a benchmark by which to base future attempts to access those fast-twitch muscles! But you don't have fast-twitch muscles, you say? No problem! Every meet - even the National Championship events - has all abilities, all ages and all body types. And don't forget that meets, just like all of Masters swimming, are a great way to spend some time with your teammates and enjoy the camaraderie of cheering for one another! So ... no more excuses, sign up today! We'll see you at the pool!
What to Bring to Your First (or Any!) Meet
